Paulo Dybala has been Juventus’ main playmaker for years, but now that his contract won’t be renewed, the Bianconeri will look for a suitable replacement. Here are the names most likely to replace La Joya.
Nicolo Zaniolo
Zaniolo’s current contract expires in 2024, but Roma have met with him and his entourage to renew. Juventus is keeping a close eye on the situation involving the 22-year-old midfielder, as they prepare themselves for the departure of Paulo Dybala. In addition to this, Roma’s general manager Tiago Pinto said this about Zaniolo’s future in Giallorossi. “Will Zaniolo for sure play for Roma next season? I can’t guarantee that and no one can.” Last week it was reported by some outlets that Zaniolo and Juventus have already agreed to terms. True or not, we will soon find out.
Hamad Traore
The 22-year-old exciting young talent who hails from the Ivory Coast has been the talk of a lot of fans of Serie A this season. The offensive midfielder has 5 goals and 4 assists for his club Sassuolo so far this season. It was originally believed Juventus had the right to purchase the player before any other club, but Romeo Agresti put an end to that a couple of weeks ago when he said it was not true and that Juventus did not have the right to refusal. Still, with him being a great talent and playing for a club that Juventus has been known to do business with in the past, don’t count this player out as a possible summer transfer. It is said that Sassuolo could be asking for around €40M.
Giacomo Raspadori
Just today Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali is quoted as saying: “We’ve received a proposal from a Premier League club for Giacomo Raspadori – they’re pushing since January but he’s a key player for us.” Juventus have been rumored for months to be interested in the player and when asked about that and the club’s good relations with Juventus, Carnevali responded “Raspadori to Juve? Could be an option – we’d be happy to open talks again after the Locatelli deal.” Sassuolo are said to value the 22-year-old Italian at around €40M.
