Allegri considering formation change in order to fit Pogba into line up

Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri, is reportedly looking to shake up the midfield as the Serie A season reaches its final months.

With the aim of building a more solid foundation in the center of the park, Allegri is said to be focusing on the duo of Paul Pogba and Adrien Rabiot.

The Italian tactician believes that the two players possess the skill sets and physical attributes to form a dynamic partnership that can help his team control games.

To achieve his desired midfield pairing, Allegri is also said to be considering a change in formation from the current 3-5-2 system.

One option is to switch to a more traditional 4-3-3 formation that would allow Pogba and Rabiot to play as two of the three midfielders.

Another possibility is the return of the 4-2-3-1 formation, which would give the midfield duo more protection with two holding midfielders behind them.

Allegri’s tactical tinkering comes at a crucial time for Juventus, who are currently in a battle for a top-four finish in Serie A.

The Turin-based club is also still in the hunt for both the Coppa Italia and UEFA Champions League trophies. With such high stakes, Allegri will need to get his team selection and tactics spot on in order to achieve success on multiple fronts.

While the midfield reshuffle may be seen as a gamble by some, Allegri has a proven track record of success at Juventus, having won five consecutive Serie A titles during his previous stint at the club.
