Massimiliano Allegri cut a frustrated figure after Juventus threw away two points in a disappointing 1-1 draw against Salernitana.
Allegri was critical of his team’s first-half performance, pointing to poor decision-making and a lack of cohesion.
“We made too many mistakes in the final pass and became disjointed,” he admitted. “Conceding from a set-piece was particularly disappointing, as we knew Salernitana were dangerous in those situations.”
Allegri compared the late scare to the recent draw against Roma, highlighting the need for mental strength.

“We can’t keep dropping points in these situations,” he stressed. “We need to show patience and avoid unnecessary shots. We had a good reaction in the second half, but conceding again raises concerns.”
With the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta looming and Champions League qualification still up for grabs, Allegri urged his team to refocus.
“There’s no time to dwell on this,” he declared. “We need complete serenity and concentration to prepare for the final and the remaining league games.”
While acknowledging the team’s individual talent, Allegri pointed out the need for improvement in handling pressure situations.
“Great teams need to find a way to win even when the game gets tough,” he said. “We have players with pace and counter-attacking ability, but we also need to be smart in holding possession and creating chances.”
Allegri concluded by urging his players to be patient and clinical in their approach.
“We need to capitalize on scoring opportunities, especially late in games,” he emphasized. “Holding possession near the opponent’s area will be crucial in the upcoming matches.”
Juventus face Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday before returning to Serie A action. Allegri will be hoping for a more disciplined and focused performance from his team as they chase Champions League qualification.
