Juventus are currently fourth in the Serie A table in tomorrow’s round 25’s fixture at Gewiss Stadium vs Atalanta the Bianconeri need to win to stay in such a favourable position. The club from Bergamo sits at 5th place with one less game played than Juventus. Moreover, they are also only two points behind the black and white club from Turin.

Atalanta-Juventus press conference of Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri:

ON WHAT IS AT STAKE

“Tomorrow is a direct match for fourth place. It’s not decisive, but very important. Atalanta has shown that they deserve a place in the top ranks; it’s going to be a tough, physical game, and they’re angry. We will have to perform at a high level.”

ON CONDITIONS

“I still don’t have a clear picture of the conditions of those who played on Thursday, there was a lot of energy used, so I first want to see the team today. However, I am very calm about the quality of the subs, who also on Thursday gave a lot.”

ON IMPROVEMENTS

“Where we need to improve? In our choices in the last third, our precision, and then everyone has to grow individually, we work every day for this. In football you need balance, and you also need to be focused on all aspects.”

ON JOURNEY AND MORALE

“The further you go, the harder it will be to win games, because points are not easy to earn. We will have to be ready and make the most of when we have a decisive ball at our feet.”

“With a reference point up top that was missing, the benefit now is for everyone. There is also good enthusiasm, but the team has been working well for a few weeks. But I repeat: we are Juve, we have done nothing yet, and winning is always the goal.”

ON AVAILABILITY

“A trident tomorrow may or may not be deployed, I have to evaluate today. Chiellini is still out, while Bernardeschi is back only from Monday. Tomorrow we will have to exploit Atalanta’s weak points by playing a good match technically.”

ON ATALANTA

“Gasperini has done an extraordinary job so far and there is no need for me to say it, he and the club have great merits. Tomorrow we hope to win.”

ON FORMATION

“Three upfront has an advantage, I repeat again. But now we think about Atalanta and then we work again, one game at a time. A two-man midfield? It’s a possible solution, depending on the availability of the players.”

ON ZAKARIA

“Zakaria is very intelligent, he has settled in well and has found a team on the up, so the conditions are there to do well. If the team is complete, the level of training increases, and consequently the level in matches as well.”
