Allegri reacted on Juventus’ huge defeat against Napoli
Juventus were demolished by Napoli in the Serie A title race match decider with a 5-1 victory at Diego Armando Maradona on Friday.
Napoli with the help of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Victor Osimhen who scored two goals, Elif Elmas and Amir Rrahmani defeated Juventus and immediately increased the gap to ten points.
Here’s what Massimiliano Allegri said after the match
“We have to congratulate Napoli because they played a good match. As for us we were a little low on energy. After the first 20 minutes, which we had a bit of difficulty, we got up, but that’s football too. Now we need to get back on our feet, recover energy and start working again,” said Alegri.
“It’s not the heaviest defeat of my career with Juventus. Tonight was deserved, then there are situations, like tonight, where every situation risks conceding goals, but situations are easily readable. Sometimes football is also this, we had the strength to try to overturn it, but then it wasn’t like that. But this absolutely doesn’t make us throw down, because in any case we come from eight victories in a row.
“These are evenings that happen, it happened an evening against the first in the class that deserves the primacy it has, and in fact has a 10-point lead. We have to try to work, grow and recover the injured. And above all, as in all negative situations, you have to see the positive, because it is with positive energy that you can win games.
“I’m sorry for the president because in any case I spent wonderful years with him. He did a cycle with Juventus that I think is unrepeatable, but as he told us yesterday we have to think about moving forward and trying to achieve this season’s goals.”
