Massimiliano Allegri spoke to the press ahead of Juvenut’s clash against Inter, which is due on Sunday at 19:15 GMT at Allianz Stadium.

“It will be an important game because it is the derby of Italy, it is Juve-Inter, it is still a very heartfelt game, with high tension and it is beautiful to play,” said Allegri.

Juventus was without eleven players in their 2-1 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in Champions League, however, Federico Chiesa managed to play minutes after returning from a long-term injury.

About injuries, Allegri said: “They are recovered [Di Maria and Bremer], the only doubt is Vlahovic, he is not well yet. Let’s see tomorrow morning if he is well or not. The other two I will evaluate, if one from the bench or if one of the two will play.

“Tomorrow morning, I will see if Vlahovic is available, he is not well, he missed training days. He has this pubalgic inflammation, I will have to evaluate tomorrow morning. If he gives me availability, he will come to the bench. Otherwise, I avoid bringing a player who can’t play.

“For Chiesa, I found him well, pleasant surprise, it had to be unlocked on a mental level, now we will have to increase minutes for him. He will be available for the match.”

Allegri added: “Bremer or Bonucci? Conceivable relays are always difficult, I will choose and in the current game we will see how the game goes, if there is a need. Substitutions will be important.

“For Locatelli to start, I haven’t decided on training yet, then we’ll see. It’s not like Paris, it will be a different game.”

“Bonucci and Di Maria to start? I don’t know, tomorrow morning I will evaluate and decide, during the game we will need everyone.”

About the match, Allegri said: “How many games? It also depends on how it unfolds, Inter are physically strong, very experienced, they need a good game, with courage, knowing their strengths. You have to work on that. We expect a good game from both of us. Tomorrow is important, the referee Doveri is at the 200th and I congratulate him and good luck for tomorrow. It will be a race to manage in the best possible way.

“We are more attentive, serene in the game. Juve is making a path to return to being competitive. Now we have found young players who we knew of their qualities, they played important games, they are players I can rely on.

“Already decisive? No, no, the game of the turning point no, the championship is long, it would give us the opportunity to give continuity to the results so far, knowing that we are facing a strong opponent”.

“We will do everything possible to reverse this inertia. This year we must try to do it, it will not be easy. Inter are very, very strong teams.”

On Kostic and Chiesa: “Two completely different roles, Federico is a striker and varies on the outside. They can coexist, it depends on the game.”

On Fagioli and Miretti: “I saw them well like everyone else, you have to keep a balance and get used to winning. It is part of a path, of a growth, of a team, of young people as you call them… Luckily, I have more experienced players helping me and them. Having Bonucci, Danilo, Cuadrado, Alex Sandro, Di Maria setting an example is important for the boys.

“It would be important, but the championship is long, there are many points available. Tomorrow is good to play, never beaten last year, it will be up to us to do everything possible to reverse the trend”.
