In a thrilling Serie A encounter against Torino, Arkadiusz Milik played a pivotal role as Juventus secured a crucial victory.
The Polish international came off the bench to score the second goal of the match, helping Juventus edge closer to the top of the table.
In a post-match interview with Sky Sport Italia, Milik shed light on his absence from the starting XI and the team’s perspective on the Serie A standings.
Milik’s impact on the game was undeniable, as he nodded in a Filip Kostic corner to seal the win for Juventus.

He expressed his joy, saying, “I am very happy; it is a very important goal that allows us to be calm and relax into the lead.” The goal came after Federico Gatti had bundled over the line from another set piece, highlighting Juventus’ proficiency in utilizing set plays.
However, Milik’s presence on the bench raised questions, especially with injuries sidelining key players like Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic.
He clarified, “I was not in the best shape today, as I was rested due to a muscular issue over the last few days, but this is a very important win.” His understanding of the coach’s decision showcased his commitment to the team’s success.
Juventus now finds themselves just two points behind Inter Milan, who dropped points in their match against Bologna.
When asked about the title race, Milik remained focused on the task at hand, stating, “We are not looking at what the other teams do; we just want to win every game that we play. That is the only path to get to the top. It is still too early to look at the table; there is a very long way to go.”
Despite the victory, it was apparent that Juventus had room for improvement in their performance.
Milik acknowledged this, saying, “I think we can always improve. It was a win with a clean sheet and two goals, but we can always play better, especially when attacking.”
This commitment to continuous improvement reflects the high standards set by the team and coach Max Allegri.
