Former Juventus Captain and the greatest keeper of all time Gianluigi Buffon gave an interview to his former teammate and commentator for TUDN Hristo Stoichkov, where he was asked about numerous topics including Juventus and the state of the club, here is what he told the former Bulgarian international.
“Juve had the chance to win the Champions League the year in which Ronaldo arrived, the one where I was in Paris, but I don’t know what happened. When I came back, in the last two years, we worked well with Cristiano, but I think the DNA as a team is lost ”
He also added when discussing never winning the UEFA Champions League:
“As I always say, the fact that I did not win the Champions League keeps my competitive spirit alive. I keep fit and respect my profession. If I had won it I would have retired already, because I would not have any other important goals to play. to reach”
The 43 soon to 44 year older legend is still in fine form with his club Parma who unfortunately sit 13th in the Serie B table, thus making Buffon’s dream of having the club return to Serie A before he retires seem impossible at the moment.
