Cruzeiro is on the verge of officially announcing the permanent signing of Kaio Jorge, a promising young striker owned by Juventus and on loan to Frosinone last season.
The agreement is expected to be formalized in the coming hours, which will see the Brazilian player join the Carioca club on a five-year contract, as reported by Brazilian newspaper UOL.
Cruzeiro has reached an agreement with Juventus for the purchase of Kaio Jorge for a fee of €4.5 million.
However, the total value of the operation could rise to between €6 million and €7 million depending on the player’s achievements and the team’s performance.

The acquisition of Kaio Jorge is a significant coup for Cruzeiro, who recently returned to the top flight of Brazilian football after being relegated in 2020.
The 22-year-old is expected to play a key role in Cruzeiro’s attack in the years to come.
Kaio Jorge’s departure from Juventus doesn’t comes as no surprise, as he has struggled to find regular playing time at the club since joining from Santos in 2021.
He spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Frosinone in Serie A, where he scored three goals in 20 appearances.
The transfer of Kaio Jorge is a positive development for both clubs.
Cruzeiro have secured a talented young player who can help them achieve their goals, while Juventus have freed up a space in their squad and recouped some of the money they invested in the player.
