Juventus defender Daniele Rugani spoke to Sky Sport after his dramatic 95th-minute winner secured a crucial 3-2 victory against Frosinone. The goal not only earned the Bianconeri three points but also served as a much-needed lift for the team struggling to find their footing this season.
“It was a liberating goal, a very important one,” Rugani reflected. “It takes us out of a difficult moment. We’re struggling to get back on track, and this is the first time this year we’ve found ourselves in this situation.
“We’re a group that’s still growing, and these scenarios are new to us. We managed to overcome it this way, but now we need to climb back up and keep pushing forward.”
Rugani also attributed his ability to handle set pieces to his previous experience as a midfielder.

“I manage them alright, maybe it’s thanks to my past in that position,” he said. “I’m happy, I couldn’t ask for more. I’m thrilled to have helped the team. We’ll take the positives and use them to build momentum going forward.”
Commenting on the winning goal itself, Rugani revealed that despite a minor injury, he knew where the ball was heading and made a crucial stretch to reach it.
“Considering I didn’t have full use of my flexor at that moment, I understood where the ball was going. I stretched and managed to get there,” he explained.
Rugani’s last-minute heroics proved pivotal for both himself and Juventus. The goal not only secured three points but also served as a significant boost to the team’s morale as they look to reclaim their position in the league.
