Every word: Allegri press conference ahead of Verona-Juve clash

In the customary pre-match press conference, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri addressed several crucial topics ahead of the important clash against Hellas Verona.

With Juventus seeking to reverse their recent negative trend, Allegri emphasized the importance of improving attention to detail and the team’s attitude.

Analysis of Previous Performances

Allegri began by saying, “Certainly, earning just one point in three matches is not a good moment. One point in two home games. Verona is always a tough place to play.

” They are not doing badly. Actually, Baroni is doing a great job considering the circumstances. They lost in Milan in the 90th minute, in Naples towards the end. They drew in Monza. We need a good game, a better attitude compared to the last matches, not just in terms of performance, but especially in attention to details.”

Reflection on 1000 Days Without Winning

Addressing the issue of 1000 days without winning a trophy, Allegri said, “It’s not frustrating at all. I’ve been fortunate to have important teams that have won me these trophies. When you close one cycle and open another, things have different values depending on the perspective. It’s true that it’s been 3 years since we last won a trophy.

“But this year, there’s the Coppa Italia, and we weren’t allowed to play in the Champions League, not due to the team’s faults but other issues. In a phase where the club, since my return, has asked for certain things and we’re carrying them forward with the new executives. Despite that, Juventus hasn’t been out of the Champions League since 2011 in terms of sporting results.

“It might seem trivial when restructuring and creating a team with different players. But there have been teams with 6-7 years without the Champions League. It’s not a given. Juventus was accustomed to winning trophies, and when you’re used to winning and training, when you don’t win, it’s not frustrating, but you have to do something more to start winning again, and there are also opponents.

“But meanwhile, we’ve always guaranteed the Champions League, which is a good goal. We have to do it again this year; at the moment, we’re not there yet, we’re missing a lot of points, and we need to start earning points tomorrow and continue until May 26th.”

Future Outlook and Psychological Work

Regarding the future, Allegri stated, “I’ve always said and I repeat it. I still have a year left on my contract, and we’re working well this year. We’ll reach the end in the best conditions.”

Player Assessments and Team Strategies

Finally, Allegri commented on the players, saying, “I’ll evaluate. Federico is coming off a period where, in the last month and a half, he’s been alternating between training and not training, playing and not playing. He’ll be important in the final stretch of the season.

” I’ll have to evaluate; I have 4 strikers. Milik, Yildiz, and Vlahovic are there. We have Kean who is working, and we hope to have him back as soon as possible. Everyone is available. Regardless of who takes the field or who comes on, the important thing is to have a different attitude. We need to do more in the details and in situations where we can concede goals.”
