According to goal.com’s Romeo Agresti, Juventus have yet again shown interest in another talented Brazilian midfielder, as the journalist reports that Juve have indeed made contact with Olympique Lyonnais for their defensive midfielder Bruno Guimarães. The French Club have said they value the player at €45M.
This could also be the reason why so many reports have been coming in over the past week that there are plenty of clubs interested in Arthur and Juve could be ready to move the player if the right offer comes in, and if that offer does come, it looks like Juve will have quickly found his replacement, someone that fits exactly what Allegri is looking for, a defensive midfielder who can play the regista and allow Locatelli to play more of his natural position, and take more runs up the pitch.
Guimarães has proved to be extremely reliable for his club this season, making 18 appearances and playing over 1,500 minutes, where scouts say he’s proven to be strong in all 5 important characteristics in a player as he possesses strength in, Passing ,Long shots, through balls, tackling and has incredible concentration.
Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Guimarães featured for Brazils U23 team in the 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament in June 2021, and was named in the squad for 2020 Summer Olympic team. There’s no doubt that future call ups to the men’s teams team will be in his future as he already was called up to face Uruguay last year, but the match like many others was postponed due to COVID-19.
