We’re delighted to have Mirko Di Natale, a journalist from Tuttojuve and one of the most reliable sources on Juventus, with us today.

Max Statman: Mirko, thank you for joining us. Let’s dive into the latest transfer developments surrounding Juventus. Starting with Federico Chiesa, can you give us an update on his situation?

Mirko Di Natale: Of course. Negotiations for Federico Chiesa are still open, even though there isn’t an economic agreement yet. Everything hinges on Federico’s intentions, and his decision will come after the European Championship. Juventus wants to continue with him but isn’t willing to increase his salary. If they can’t reach an agreement, Juventus will consider offers of at least €35-40 million. Bayern Munich has shown interest, and Chelsea is also looking for a player in his role, but there are no ongoing negotiations at the moment.

Max Statman: Moving on to Riccardo Calafiori, there seems to be some tension regarding his valuation. What can you tell us about that?

Mirko Di Natale: Yes, Bologna is quite annoyed by the valuation of Riccardo Calafiori at €20-25 million. They believe he is worth €40 million, but achieving that price is unlikely. They will try to convince Calafiori to stay, but he already has an agreement with Juventus and prefers to remain in Italy. Juventus is expected to make an offer soon, so we’ll have to wait and see how that unfolds.

Max Statman: Let’s talk about McKennie and the situation with Aston Villa. What’s the latest there?

Mirko Di Natale: The negotiations for McKennie have stalled due to the lack of an agreement. Aston Villa needs to sell players to comply with Premier League financial rules, so discussions continued because there was already an agreement between Juventus and Villa. Now, with the inclusion of Barrenechea, Juventus wants to close the deal as soon as possible. Juventus has agreed with Douglas Luiz for €4 million plus €1 million in bonuses for four years, and they need an adjustment of €25 million plus Iling Jr and Barrenechea to complete the deal.

Max Statman: It sounds like there’s a lot of movement. What about the situation with Soulé and Koopmeiners?

Mirko Di Natale: Juventus will not negotiate for a price lower than €40 million for Soulé. While Douglas Luiz is a significant opportunity, Koopmeiners has always been the primary target. The sale of Soulé and/or Huijsen, who will only be sold for at least €30 million, will help finance Koopmeiners. Juventus is also exploring options for attacking wingers, but there are no concrete negotiations on the horizon yet.

Max Statman: Adrien Rabiot’s future with Juventus has been a topic of discussion. Can you provide an update?

Mirko Di Natale: Juventus made a substantial offer to Rabiot, hoping to finalize it before the European Championship, but it didn’t happen. Rabiot is currently focused on the tournament, although other clubs are interested in him. Juventus wants to continue with him but is also looking at alternatives. Fofana and Thuram, both with contracts expiring in 2025, are players to watch. Additionally, Juventus could renegotiate with Southampton for Alcaraz.

Max Statman: Are there any other notable movements in the transfer market for Juventus?

Mirko Di Natale: There won’t be any major surprises, starting with Szczesny leaving Juventus after many years. Several clubs are interested in Huijsen and Soulé. Barrenechea is heading to England, and players like Kean and Kostic are available on the market.

Max Statman: Lastly, is there any truth to the rumors about Pavlovic?

Mirko Di Natale: Pavlovic is a name that Juventus likes, but there are no negotiations with his club at the moment. However, I advise fans to carefully follow Juventus’ transfer campaign, as this year, the club aims to provide a lot of satisfaction to its supporters.

Max Statman: Thank you, Mirko, for these valuable insights. It’s been a pleasure having you with us.
