Federico Gatti has spoken to Sky Sport following the Juventus’ Europa League match against Friburgo.
Gatti expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to start in the game, which he called “importantissima” (extremely important).
“The manager gave me a great opportunity,” Gatti said. “I always try to give 100%, even if it’s not always easy. I’m happy we were able to advance.”
Gatti also commented on his celebration with teammate Dusan Vlahovic after the latter’s goal.
“I have a strong bond with Dusan even off the field,” Gatti said. “I’m extremely happy for his goal because he deserved it. It will help him work even better with more serenity.”
The midfielder also discussed his position on the field and the challenges of moving up from Serie B to Serie A.
“The jump from Serie B to Serie A is enormous,” Gatti said. “It’s a difficult path, and I know I need to be ready when called upon.”
Finally, Gatti commented on his missed shot that resulted in a handball and subsequent penalty.
“I made a mistake with the control. I should have stopped the ball better and kicked with my right foot,” he said. “Luckily, they made a mistake, and we were able to score the penalty and unlock the game. Playing in Europe is amazing, and I’m happy. Now we need to recharge because another tough match is waiting for us in the league.”
Gatti’s comments reflect the excitement and challenges of playing at the highest level of professional football, as well as the importance of teamwork and dedication to the sport.
