In an interview with DAZN, Giorgio Chiellini talked about the racism theme, starting with what happened to Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly during the Fiorentina match against Napoli.
He also talked about the gesture of kneeling on the pitch, and also an episode that had the then Juventus player Blaise Matuidi as a protagonist.
ON KALIDOU KOULIBALY
“Shortly after my interview in the national team I heard about the Kalidou Koulibaly incident, so I said what I thought. That I was ashamed as an Italian, and in particular as a Tuscan, because it happened in Florence and Florence is my second home. It is unacceptable behaviour.”
ON BLAISE MATUIDI
