Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero has discussed the possibility of returning at Juventus, in an interview with CBS Sports Golazo.
Speaking about his potential return to the club in a leadership capacity, Del Piero said, “There are many rumors, of course. I don’t want to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ because it’s a huge thing, but obviously my heart is there.”
Del Piero, who spent 19 years at Juventus as a player, also commented on the current state of the team, saying, “I know how players can feel in a moment like this when you don’t know what can happen, and that’s why I think they are doing great things.”
Reflecting on his long-standing relationship with the club, Del Piero said, “I was a fan of Juventus even before playing for Juve, and I spent 19 years in the club. I experienced the crisis in 2006, and I know that rebuilding a team takes a lot of time.”

Despite his emotional attachment to the team, Del Piero emphasized the importance of taking a practical approach, stating, “I always look at what happens to Juventus with a different perspective, trying to put aside the emotional side, but it’s very complicated.”
Del Piero confirmed that he always look at what happens to Juventus, saying “I always look at what happens to Juventus with a different perspective, trying to put aside the emotional side, but it’s very complicated.”
Del Piero also commented on the controversy surrounding Juventus’ 15-point penalty, which was imposed earlier this season. “There are possibilities that the 15 points will be given back, but what matters most are the other two things that have to happen at the end of the season,” he said.
Acknowledging the negative feelings towards Juventus, Del Piero said, “Okay, everyone hates Juve, that’s the first thing to know to understand the situation better.”
Del Piero also expressed his opinion that the penalty imposed on the team was unjust, saying, “Penalizing with these 15 points in the middle of the tournament, then maybe giving back 10, who knows, it’s not good even for the other teams.”
However, Del Piero showed his support for Juventus and their current manager, Massimiliano Allegri, stating, “Allegri and the team are doing something very important.”
