Is De Ligt more in or out today?
Matthjis De Ligt has been linked heavily to Chelsea, the London club are looking to make a big shot in defence and De Ligt is seen as the Blue’s priority.
Juventus don’t want to sell the dutch centre back but the contract situation is forcing them to open the door a bit. As per reports, Chelsea’s first offer of €40-45M + Timo Werner was rejected. Juventus like Werner but consider the fee to be too low. The Bianconeri are holding out for a huge fee, this is making Chelsea consider other options, such as Jules Kounde, Nathan Ake and Koulibaly.
It remains to be seen how hard Chelsea push for Matthjis De Ligt and if they are willing to raise their initial offer. No other club has made contact with Juventus regarding the dutch so far.
If De Ligt’s contract is not extended, then the chances of him staying at the club are relatively low but never say never, Juventus might accept to continue with De Ligt without extending this summer and hoping for a change in situation next year. Maybe, Juventus will be winning trophies next year which hasn’t happened this season and De Ligt will feel happy to be part of Juventus for a bit longer. Hence the situation could be different in a year.

De Ligt, I think is more IN right now than OUT because of the fee Juventus want. It is difficult to assume that anyone will pay that. De Ligt will end up staying in my opinion unless Juventus significantly lower their demands.
