“We have clear ideas”. This is the declaration made to Dazn by Juventus vice president Pavel Nedved, who was questioned about the transfer market and the post Paulo Dybala. Clear concepts, or nearly; since La Gazzetta dello Sport has a look at the Old Lady market and the alternatives to Dybala this morning, and what comes out of it is a spectrum of very different profiles.

First, the reservations are tactical in character. Next season, Juventus will field the trident, with Vlahovic in the middle and Federico Chiesa flanking him; one spot is still open. If the decision were to be made on a fast forward, to build an athletic trident, the profile of Nicol Zaniolo would stay at the top of the desire list. If, on the other hand, Allegri prefers a player who focuses on skill, like as Dybala, keep an eye out for Angel Di Maria, whose contract with PSG is coming to an end. Finally, Ousmane Dembélé emerges on the list of potential possibilities, having been monitored by the Juventus administration for some time, with undeniable skill but not particularly dependable in terms of character.
