Inter have beaten Juventus 1-0 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday evening. The Bianconeri barely created any danger all game.
Juventus’ biggest opportunity came after a good run by Weston McKennie, who put Dušan Vlahović in front of Yann Sommer with a good pass. The Serbian striker, however, ruined the opportunity with a bad touch.
Shortly before halftime, Inter took the lead after some bad defending by Juventus. Federico Gatti marked Marcus Thuram on the wrong side and in an attempt to stop the Inter attacker, Gatti put the ball in his own net.
In the second half, it was more of the same. Inter totally controlling the game, Juve sitting back and hoping for a golden opportunity. Unsuprisingly, that chance didn’t really come. Juventus can thank Wojciech Szczęsny for staying in the game for so long.
