Juventus took on Milan in the penultimate round of the Serie A season at home, but failed to show the desire to win. Olivier Giroud put the visitors ahead before the break with a great header and the Bianconeri failed to come back from that hit. Max Statman gives a quick match report and player ratings.
Juventus were the first team to create some danger, with Juan Cuadrado testing Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan with a shot after fourtheen minutes. The Frenchman couldn’t hold on to the Panita’s shot and pushed it away instead. Ten minutes later, the Bianconeri became really dangerous again, with Moise Kean crossing the ball into the box. It fell to Ángel Di María, who played his last match at the Allianz Stadium, but the Argentinian’s poor effort went over the bar.
As the rules of football apply, Milan took the lead just before half-time. Davide Calabria delivered an excellent cross on the head of Olivier Giroud, who managed to put it in the net. An amazing header.
