After the great win against Salernitana five days ago, Juventus needed to keep their form going especially with the first start of Di Maria, Vlahovic, and Chiesa together. The Bianconeri came out strong in the first 15 minutes against Fiorentina. It was a chaotic start as both teams were chippy against each other.
Adrien Rabiot was awarded an early yellow but that didn’t stop him from opening the score of the game with a great header from a Di Maria lob. The Old Lady finished the hectic first half with the lead.
With the many controversial decisions in Serie A this season, Juventus experienced another disallowed goal with Vlahovic’s effort ruled off for being a millimeter offside.
The game ended with a sigh of relief for Juventus as Fiorentina had scored a goal at the 89th-minute mark but after a VAR check, it was ruled offside.
The Bianconeri now move up to 9th place in Serie A and look forward to the start of their Europa League campaign on Thursday against FC Nantes in Turin.
