Benfica won all three points against Juventus in Turin, a very big defeat for the Bianconeri. Juventus have suffered back to back defeats in the first two Champions League games, first time it has ever happened to them in their history.
Juve took the lead though Arkadiusz Milik in the fourth minute. Juventus, dominated the Portuguese club in the first half an hour but Benfica started to grow into the game. Fabio Miretti gave a penalty away which was converted by Joao Mario to bring them level.
Benfica came back after the half time break with great spirit. David Neres found the back of the net ten minutes after the second half had begun. Benfica created several opportunities during the second half but failed to do more damage. Gleison Bremer had a great chance to bring the Italian club level late in the game but the Brazilian centre back failed to convert it. Here are our player ratings:
