Juventus are reportedly considering Arsenal’s Thomas Partey as a potential replacement for midfielder Paul Pogba, who is currently under investigation for breaching anti-doping regulations.
La Repubblica claims that Juve is eyeing Partey as a contingency plan in case Pogba’s contract is terminated due to a potential ban.
Pogba is currently facing a provisional suspension and could be banned for up to four years if found guilty of testing positive for testosterone.
The alleged positive test occurred after Juventus’ match against Udinese on August 20, a game in which Pogba did not play. This situation could mark the end of Pogba’s second stint at the Italian club and have significant implications for his career going forward.

The interest in Partey is not surprising, as Juventus was linked with the Ghanaian midfielder during the summer transfer window.
At that time, Arsenal were reportedly open to a transfer as long as their asking price was met. However, with the season already underway, it may be challenging for Juventus to secure Partey’s services from the London club.
Despite the transfer speculation, Partey has featured prominently in Mikel Arteta’s plans this season, receiving a significant amount of playing time.
This suggests that the Arsenal manager views him as an essential member of the squad. As a result, prying Partey away from the Gunners may prove difficult for Juventus.
It remains to be seen how Pogba’s situation will unfold, but Juventus seems to be preparing for any potential outcome. As they assess their options for life after Pogba, Thomas Partey has emerged as a player of interest.
Whether Arsenal will be willing to part ways with the Ghanaian midfield maestro is uncertain, especially considering his current involvement in their team under Arteta.
