The fate of Juventus in European competitions hangs in the balance as the UEFA carries out its own investigation into the club.
The Bianconeri is already under scrutiny in several cases involving its operations, and the UEFA’s move has added another layer of uncertainty.
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin is waiting for the legal verdicts, but he will not wait indefinitely.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a decision must be reached by this summer when UEFA completes the list of teams admitted to European competitions. If the timeline were to stretch out, independent decisions could come from Nyon.

The UEFA is conducting its own investigation, and Juventus faces the possibility of being out of Europe for at least a year. Even winning the Europa League would not change this, although it could prevent the club from going without European games for two years.
All of this is happening while awaiting the European Court’s verdict in June regarding the attempt to create the Super League.
Allegri’s team must earn its place in Europe on the field, but failing to finish in the top seven is currently a complicated possibility. In case of non-qualification, the UEFA decision would be enforced in the first “useful” season, not before 2024-25.
If Juventus qualifies, they would remain in limbo. The UEFA could give Italy a few more months, extending the deadline until the end of July or early August. If the Italian legal process is not completed by that time, Ceferin would step in.
An autonomous and parallel investigation is underway in Nyon, and all documents from the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Turin have been received and examined.
The UEFA’s Fair Play commission is now ready to resolve the matter, and there is one other crucial point to consider. Juventus pleaded guilty to violating Fair Play regulations because it was outside the parameters.
If the investigation shows that the figures provided are false, the punishment will be automatic for falsifying balances and reporting them to auditors, shareholders, FIGC, and UEFA.
