Juventus Forward’s Future Hangs in the Balance
With Cristiano Ronaldo leaving on the last days of the 2021 summer transfer market, Juventus was given a short amount of time to find a replacement. Moise Kean was the last-minute choice from Everton to replace Ronaldo who scored 101 goals in three seasons for the Bianoconeri. Kean had a good season on loan with Paris Saint Germain last season, scoring 13 goals in 26 appearances for the club. Juventus deemed him ready to come back and fire for the club again.
Since coming back to Juventus, Kean has only scored 3 goals in 18 appearances and has not fit back into the squad. With the recent purchase of Dusan Vlahovic, who already made his mark for the club scoring 12 minutes into his debut, Kean must improve his performances to regain a spot with the team or he will be out of the club this summer with his agent Mino Raiola to look for options for him.
The 21-year-old is on loan with Juventus for two years, but the club has an obligation to buy in the summer of 2023 for 28 million euros and 3-million-euro add-ons. PSG is monitoring the Kean situation and looking to make a move once the summer transfer market opens. It is up to Kean to improve his game to stay at Juventus or look for more playing time elsewhere.
