Following their impressive victory in Florence, Juventus’ goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, took to the microphones of Sky Sport to discuss the team’s performance and their progress this season.
When asked whether he was happier about their 2-point lead over Inter or the 7-point lead over Atalanta, Szczesny responded, “We are more content with the +3 points earned today. It’s too early to focus on the league table.
“We are performing well, securing positive results even in away matches. Our recent wins in Milan and today in Florence were challenging, and we are very pleased with our current form.”
Comparing this season to the previous one, Szczesny commented, “We hope to avoid losing another ten points this year, and we aim to stay ahead. We are in a much better position compared to last season.

“In truth, I don’t even know how many points we have; we need to take it one step at a time and concentrate on our upcoming match against Cagliari.”
Exploring the changes from the previous season, the goalkeeper mentioned, “There’s a fantastic team spirit. We have a very young squad, and nobody feels superior to the others. There is a significant room for growth.
“The unity within the team during challenging moments, like today when we faced approximately 89 minutes of difficulty (laughs), is what helps us secure the results. Winning three points in Florence is no easy feat, and we are delighted.”
Regarding his crucial save on Cristiano Biraghi’s attempt, Szczesny humbly stated, “It may have seemed difficult, but it wasn’t. The angle was tight, but I managed to make the save.”
