It was an emotional day at the Allianz Stadium, as both Giorgio Chiellini and Paulo Dybala said their goodbyes to Turin. A late goal saw Lazio complete the comeback and draw 2-2 against Juventus. Max Statman gives you a quick rundown and player ratings.
Juventus only needed ten minutes to grab the lead. Dusan Vlahovic put a cross from Alvaro Morata behind Lazio-goalkeeper Strakosha. Shortly after, Giorgio Chiellini left the field, which created an emotional moment.
Lazio grew a little stronger, but didn’t quite test the Juventus defence. A stunning shot by Alvaro Morata doubled the Bianconeri’s advantage. A couple of minutes into the second half, Lazio pulled one back. A corner was headed towards goal by Milinkovic-Savic and Alex Sandro gave it the final touch.
Paulo Dybala left the pitch ten minutes before the end of the game, while fighting back tears. Juventus-target Milinkovic-Savic ruined the perfect farewell with the equalizer late in injury time.
