Juventus’s negotiations for the renewal of midfielder Adrien Rabiot’s contract are reportedly complex.
According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, the renewal is contingent on the club’s qualification for the next Champions League, with coach Massimiliano Allegri also playing a crucial role in convincing the Frenchman to extend his stay in Turin.
The financial aspect of the negotiations is also said to be a challenge, with Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique, reportedly demanding a net salary of €10 million per year.
However, a compromise may be reached through the use of bonuses.
Rabiot, who joined Juventus in 2019 from Paris Saint-Germain, has made 26 appearances in Serie A this season, scoring eight goals and providing three assist.
The 28-year-old’s current contract is set to expire at fhe enf of the season and it remains to be seen if Juventus will be able to secure his long-term future at the club amid interest from European top clubs.
