Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Paul Pogba could return to training within 15 or 20 days, after a long spell out with injury.
Paul Pogba is yet to make his Juventus debut since joining in the summer due to injury. Juventus fans were hoping to see him on the pitch before the end of last year, since he was back in training, but he suffered another injury that will make him return at the end of this month.
In a press conference ahead of Juventus’ Wednesday game against Cremonese, their first Serie A game since the end of the World Cup, he said when Pogba could return.
“Paul [Pogba] is running, and the most important thing is that his knee doesn’t bother him at the moment. If he proceeds like this in 15-20 days he could be back in the group,” said Massimiliano Allegri.

Pogba is not the only one with an injury problem at Juventus, as Szczesny, Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa are among those with injury problems, Allegri gave an update about injuries ahead of this match.
Allegri said: “I still have to decide tomorrow’s lineup. The two Argentines have returned and are doing well, we will almost certainly all go to Cremona, then I will evaluate the choices. Chiesa? He’s better. Today I will evaluate everyone in training.
“Today I will evaluate whether or not to bring back Szczesny. The Brazilians are fine, but in a few days we’ll play again, so it will be important to measure up.
“Vlahović is better, I hope to have everyone available by the end of the month. Tomorrow, however, with those that have returned, we are ready.
“Di María and Paredes will bs available? Absolutely no. We don’t have an emergency and we have to look between now and June 5th, not just at one game. Having them come back a day early wouldn’t have changed anything and it was only right that they enjoyed their victory in the World Cup.”
Talking about the game, Allegri said: “Tomorrow we start again after 52 days off with a complicated game. In the last two home games, Cremonese have not conceded a goal, against Napoli they played a tough and aggressive match. We will have to have great humility.
“It will be important to play as a team, as we have done in the last few games. The matches after the breaks are increasingly difficult. We will have to be good at returning into match-mode right away.
“The best part of the season is the second half, where everything is decided and then you don’t have time to recover. This is beautiful and we must live it with enthusiasm, desire and responsibility.
“In the first part of the season we were without some players due to injuries and, if our goal is to play 37 games between now and the end, recovering everyone will be important, because everyone will be needed.
“It will be a very good second part of the season, at the moment Napoli are favourites, but there are many points still available. Our goal must be to get into the top four and then play in the cup finals.”
