Juventus are reportedly looking to secure the future of young wingback Andrea Cambiaso by opening talks over a contract extension, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
While Cambiaso’s current deal runs until 2027, his impressive performances this season have made him a vital cog in the Juventus machine, prompting the club to act swiftly.
Acquired from Genoa in 2022 by Federico Cherubini, Cambiaso thrived under Thiago Motta at Bologna before seamlessly integrating into the Juventus setup. His versatility has impressed Massimiliano Allegri, with Cambiaso demonstrating his ability to play on either flank or even as a central midfielder.
Cambiaso’s all-around contributions have been a bright spot in an otherwise underwhelming season for Juventus.

Described as a “modern player” by Gazzetta, he offers a blend of attacking and defensive prowess. He has chipped in with 3 goals and 4 assists in all competitions, showcasing his ability to contribute in both halves of the pitch.
Furthermore, Cambiaso’s consistency stands in stark contrast to some of Juventus’ other summer acquisitions. Weah hasn’t quite convinced, while the jury is still out on newcomers Tiago Djalò and Carlos Alcaraz.
Djalò is returning from a lengthy injury layoff, and Alcaraz’s promising start after taking the starting berth against Napoli was cut short by a training ground injury.
With Cambiaso attracting interest from top clubs abroad and set to represent Italy at Euro 2024, Juventus are eager to avoid losing their rising star. The Bianconeri are looking to not only extend his contract but also improve his terms, reflecting his newfound importance within the squad.
Securing Cambiaso’s long-term future aligns with Juventus’ strategy of building a strong core for the years to come. His renewal would send a clear message of faith from the club and solidify his role as a central figure in their future plans.
Extending Cambiaso’s contract would be a positive step for Juventus. He has emerged as a key player for the present and holds the potential to be a cornerstone of the team’s future success.
