Leandro Paredes will be bidding farewell to Juventus at the conclusion of the current season.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the midfielder will be returning to Paris Saint-Germain as Juventus have decided not to activate the option to purchase him.
Despite being signed during the summer transfer window, Paredes has not been able to make a significant impact at Juventus. With only five starts in 18 league appearances, the Argentine has been a disappointment for the club.
To strengthen their midfield, Juventus is set to recall Nicolo Rovella, who has been on loan to Monza this season.
The youngster has impressed in Serie A this campaign and even managed to score his maiden goal against Udinese.
Juventus manager, Allegri, has been experimenting with Enzo Barrenechea in Paredes’ position, leaving the underperforming midfielder on the bench.
As a result, Enzo Barrenechea has been promoted to Juventus’ first team, however, Juventus will be looking to revamp their midfield in the upcoming transfer window.
