Juventus have lost the second match of the Serie A season against Empoli. Mancuso scored the winner for the visitors in the 21st minute. It was an awful display by the Bianconeri at the Allianz Stadium, who looked tired and all over the place. Max Statman gives you the player ratings.

Wojciech Szczęsny, 6:

Szczęsny was a lot better than last week. He seemed a bit more confident, also in the air. He couldn’t do anything about the goal.

Cuadrado 6, De Ligt 6, Bonucci 5.5, Alex Sandro 5.5

Bentancur 4.5, Danilo 5.5, Rabiot 4.5:

Bentancur was very sloppy today. He looks uncomfortable on the ball and lost it way too much. Danilo, who’s naturally a right back, did a good job in midfield. Rabiot came back from an injury and he wasn’t up to full speed yet. During some moments in the match, it looked like Juventus had no midfield.

McKennie 5, Dybala 6, Chiesa 7:

Especially in the first half, Federico Chiesa was very dangerous. He almost scored a fantastic solo that started on Juventus’s half. In the second half he was a bit less involved. McKennie got a starting place on his birthday, but he disappointed. He was played out of position and looked lost. Dybala tried a lot, but didn’t really have a lot of impact.

Substitutions: Morata 5, Bernardeschi 5, Locatelli 6, Kulusevski 5, De Sciglio

Allegri 4.5:

Allegri made a lot of questionable decisions today. He started Rabiot, who just came back from an injury and clearly wasn’t ready. McKennie, a midfielder, started in attack. He was barely involved and didn’t know where to go. Why didn’t Morata or Kulusevski, who are naturally attackers, start instead of McKennie? Juventus where overrun on the midfield by Empoli, a team that played in Serie B last season. There is lots of work to do for Allegri.
