2 weeks agoon
Juventus will take on Roma at 8:45 in the capital. The Bianconeri are coming of a 0-0 draw vs AC Milan in Turin. They have claimed six points in their last five games. Roma have been on a hot streak ever since Daniel De Rossi took over the managerial role. He has only lost three games since he took the job halfway through January.
Juventus starting lineup (3-5-2)
Goalkeeper – Wojciech Szczesny is once again posed to start in goal. He has played in all but two league matches this season.
Defence– The defence looks to be unchanged since last week. Bremer will start with Gatti and Danilo. This has been the starting trio for majority of games this season. Allegri doesn’t look to change for the clash in the capital. Alex Sandro won’t feature due a muscle injury.
Wings – Mckennie will start on the right vs Roma with Cambiaso on the left. Mckennie has played in 32 league games this season, providing seven assists. However, he has occasionally played as an inverted full-back too. Cambiaso has made 31 appearances, registering two goals and three assists while playing mainly on the wings.
Midfield – Juventus’ midfield line is expected to change from the game vs Milan. Rabiot and Locatelli will stay in the middle of the park. Carlos Alcaraz will most likely come into the midfield three instead of Andrea Cambiaso, who started against Milan. Since joining on loan in January, he has played in seven legaue games and has provided an assist.
Attack – Juventus will change the front two from the AC Milan game with Chiesa playing instead of Kenan Yildiz. The Turkish attacker will miss the game with illness. Dusan Vlahovic will start once again.
Roma starting lineup (4-3-3)
Goalkeeper – Roma is expected to start with Mile Silvar between the posts again.
Defence – Mehmet Celik and Angelio will start as the full backs. Roma will use a center back duo of Gianluca Mancini and Chris Smalling in defence.
Midfield – Leonardo Parades, who played on loan at Juventus last season, is set to face his former teammates. Alongside him will be Bryan Cristante and Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Attack – Stephen El Shaaraway and Thomas Baldanzi will start on the wings. Romelu Lukaku is set to start as Roma’s No.9.
