Khephren Thuram was rumoured to come to Juventus before last season, however his signing wasn’t completed because of his high transfer fee. According to NiceMatin his fee has been set at 15 to 20 million euros. This is massive for Juventus as he is now a more accessible option with the current financial woes.
How does this affect Juventus merecato strategy
This helps Juventus as now he could be a midfield option now as Juventus are looking for cheaper options. Both him and Lazar Samardzic could come in for 20-40 million. This depends on if Udinese go down Lazar will be available on a free transfer.

This is big as Juventus need to also confirm the signings of Michele Di Gregorio and Albert Gudmundsson. Gudmundsson deal could become a swap deal with Fabio Miretti being involved. This will cost Juventus midfield depth and they could upgrade from Miretti to Thuram.
This also makes the signing of Teun Koopmeiners look less likely because if you can get Thuram plus Samardzic for 40 million. Koopmeiners price tag is set at 60 million euros which would make him 20 million euros more expensive. Lazar could end up coming in on a free transfer as well so he would be 40 million euros more expensive.
Thuram’s season
Thuram has only featured in 25 of Nice’s 32 games. He has started 23 of those games he has been involved in. He has bagged 1 goal and 1 assist so far this campaign. Nice currently sit 5th, 4 points behind the champions league place, however they have a game in hand. If he helps Nice earn a champion’s league birth it will be a great as they missed out on all European football this season, and top 4 by 10 points.
This season he has averaged 42 passes per 90 which is average. But his accuracy has been 88 percent which is above average when compared to other players. He is also above average with dribbles per 90 with 2 but his dribble success rate is average at 58 percent.
