Lapo Elkann, an heir to the Agnelli family fortune and cousin of Juventus patron John Elkann, has agreed with scathing criticism of coach Max Allegri following the team’s second consecutive Serie A defeat.
Journalist Maurizio Pistocchi posted a comment on Twitter that was highly critical of the squad, stating that “With this idea of football, Juventus have no future.” Elkann replied to the tweet, saying “I agree.”
Furthermore, Elkann directed a tweet at the players, stating “It’s not that you can do better, you’ve got to do better. Shame on you.”
The Old Lady’s future now rests on a decision that will be made on Wednesday. The team will learn whether their appeal against the 15-point Serie A penalty will be successful, a decision that could transform their entire season.

As it stands, if the penalty is removed, Juventus would be in third place with 59 points, just two points behind Lazio on 61.
However, the team’s performance has been less than satisfactory, with their most recent defeat coming at the hands of Sassuolo, during which they failed to create any real attacking moves until conceding the winning goal.
