Leeds United agree a deal to sign McKennie from Juventus: here’s the deal details

Leeds United have reached total agreements with Juventus for Weston McKennie on loan with an option to buy which could become an obligation under certain conditions.
The English club will pay €1.2m loan fee with the right of redemption set at €33m, according to Fabrizio Romano. But the ransom could become an obligation when certain conditions occur, as per Sky Italia.
However, Leeds United’s will is to make this transfer permanent at the end of the season or under the agreed conditions or by renegotiating them more calmly.
For the official transfer of McKennie to Leeds, some details of the player’s contract with Leeds remain to be defined only. The English club is working with the player’s agents, as medical tests scheduled by tomorrow.

Weston McKennie has played 96 games for Juventus since joining in 2020 from Schalke 04, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.
The 24-year-old will now join fellow USMNT internationals Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson under American manager Jesse Marsh.
He impressed at the World Cup in Qatar and will play a key role in Leeds’ survival campaign in the top flight.
