Leeds United has made their first offer for American international midfielder Weston McKennie, currently playing for Juventus, according to Sky Italia.

The offer is reported to be €28 million plus bonuses. However, it seems that Juventus is holding out for a higher fee, with reports suggesting that they are requesting €35 million for McKennie’s release.

Weston McKennie joined Juventus in 2020 from Schalke 04, where he had previously played for four seasons.

He made over 30 appearances for the club in all competitions. The 25-year-old American international has also made an impact on the national team, where he has earned over 20 caps and scored 3 goals.

McKennie’s performances at Juventus have reportedly caught the attention of Leeds United, who are said to be interested in bringing him to the English Premier League.

However, it remains to be seen whether Leeds United will be able to agree on a fee with Juventus for McKennie’s transfer. The €35 million asking price is a significant increase from the initial €28 million offer, and it remains to be seen whether Leeds United will be willing to meet Juventus’ demands.
