Luca Pellegrini is likely to remain at Eintracht Frankfurt for the remainder of the season as his situation for a possible move this month has been stalled.

The 23-year-old left-back, who is in Frankfurt on loan from Juventus, wanted to move to Lazio this month but he’s now likely to stay in Germany than leaving, sources told Max Statman.

Lazio stepped its efforts to get him and add him to their squad in the second half of the season, but they have not yet reached an agreement with Juventus.

Pellegrini’s return to Juventus this month is clearly acceptable to Eintracht Frankfurt, allowing Lazio to reach an agreement for the Italian full defender.

The Bianconeri are hoping for a loan with an obligation to buy, but they might also be tempted by a buy-option offer.

Pellegrini is willing to reduce his €3m net per season wages in order to push through a deal, with Lazio planning to push once again to try to agree a deal with Juventus.

Lazio intends to push once more to try to reach an agreement with Juventus next week, and Pellegrini is willing to cut his €3 million net annual salary to expedite a deal.
