Juventus must win their Coppa Italia semifinal second leg against Inter Milan at San Siro to progress to the final. The match will be played on Wednesday, with the teams currently tied at 1-1 after the first leg.
Juventus reached the Europa League semifinals after drawing 1-1 with Sporting last week. It was their first European semifinal since reaching the 2017 Champions League final.
Inter, on the other hand, will play the other half of the Milan derby in the Champions League semifinals, ensuring one Italian finalist in that competition. Both Juventus and Inter have been better in knockout fixtures than in Serie A in the past few months.
The first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal was a thrilling match, with Juventus looking to hold on for a classic 1-0 victory. However, Bremer’s last-minute handball gave Inter a penalty that allowed Romelu Lukaku to equalize, making the second leg more uncertain.

Juventus are coming off a loss to Napoli in the league but played well in that game. Nonetheless, the squad has been struggling, having lost four of their last six league fixtures. Manager Max Allegri rotated his squad in Sunday’s game, which may help. However, he must get creative with his starters, as two of his No. 9s are injured.
Dusan Vlahovic, one of the forwards, will miss the match due to a sprained ankle picked up in training on Tuesday. Juan Cuadrado is suspended after his involvement in the late-game fisticuffs with Romelu Lukaku.
Mattia Perin will start in goal, and Bremer will return to the starting lineup after his injury against Sporting. Allegri suggested Arek Milik could be a substitute after playing many minutes in recent weeks.
With Vlahovic and Kean injured and Allegri floating the idea of Milik starting the game on the bench, the rumor mill suggests that the front line will consist of Angel Di Maria and Federico Chiesa, with Allegri seeking to hit Inter on the counter.
The game will be a challenge for Juventus, as they must face a hostile environment at the San Siro, where Inter has won seven of their last eight home games. It will also be the last time the two teams meet until at least the fall of 2023.
