Massimiliano Allegri comments on the defeat against Napoli on the microphones of Dazn. Here are his words:

What feeling does this game leave you?
“I’m sorry to have lost a game like this, we could have done better with the goal, because we stopped on the opposite side of the ball and we need to improve on this”.

With the entry of Di Maria and Chiesa you risked more…
“At that moment there was a need for two technical players, one who maybe could play one-on-one, Chiesa had a good situation against Lozano where he lost ball. But I would say that the team played a good game, sorry to have lost. The good game remains, we conceded a goal a little chicken-y, yes.”

What did you do wrong?
“It’s simple, just watch the action, we’re in the 93rd minute, you have to go and defend in the area, there was a lot of back and forth, instead we stopped on the opposite side of the ball. But this is part of the growth of players who … in certain moments we take things for granted and we are still. Just look at the latest action …. these things happen and the goal arrives, then it passes between the legs. There is the regret of a game played , against a strong Napoli, who deserved the Scudetto and are therefore sorry for this. then above all because of the last 5 games we have lost four. But we are still ahead of the pursuers, so now we must be there with serenity, because we have an important match on Wednesday , which is the other Coppa Italia semi-final againstInter and we need to stay calm because we can’t do absolutely anything, we always have to accept the referees’ decisions, for better or for worse, so we need to stay calm otherwise we lose energy and nothing is needed, we can’t change the result anyway.”

Would you like to comment on referee episodes? Gatti’s shot and Di Maria’s goal disallowed.
“No, I don’t need to explain anything, I think the referees are very good, Fabbri refereed a wonderful match, he was very good and I congratulate him for the way he refereed”.

He kept out Vlahovic, Di Maria and Chiesa. Is it because she’s going to play a different game on Wednesday?
“I chose these players… among other things, Miretti and Soulè played an important game, this demonstrates the growth of the boys. Then they entered… Chiesa is a player who hasn’t played for ten months and is now recovering “I think when this season ends, he’ll be in better shape next year. Di Maria played two 90-minute games in a row and therefore there was a need to recover especially for the first 60 minutes. I kept Vlahovic at rest, he had played on Thursday, and Milik had a great game.”

Your substitutions could change the game, you showed quality in the second half.
“Napoli absolutely deserved the Scudetto, we knew we were facing a strong team tonight and we played a good game. This year we had some difficulties, especially in the period after 15 points and now we are at 59 points, we have three points over Milan if I’m not mistaken, 5 on Inter, 7 games to go and you have to be good at trying to win again in the league. We are missing a few points and we have to get them.”

Is your Scudetto to enter the top 4? Win the Europa League? Get your hands on the Italian Cup?
“I think we need to give the boys a break who have had an important season up to now. I hear a lot of people talking, this makes me smile because people don’t know anything, they speak from hearsay…”.

What is it about?
“In general, from Juventus. It was a surreal situation, the boys were wonderful. But now we need to make the last effort because we have 59 points and we need to try to reach second place because we have the chance”.

He seems exhausted and tried…
“No, he better be very serene and calm, now I have to smile again, because it’s an important team anyway. This year is a year that will help us grow a lot for what the future will bring and next year we will surely find ourselves there to fight again for the championship”.
