Milan vs Juventus: Match preview and projected lineups

Just one week after Juventus’s heart breaking loss in the Supercoppa final against Inter, the Bianconeri return to the San Siro, but this time to face Milan, who are fresh off of a heart breaking controversial lose to bottom feeders Spezia, which saw the relegation threatened team go ahead 2-1 in the final minute of injury time, just before Milan thought they had scored a game winner, only for the ref to have deemed the play whistled dead due to a Spezia foul just outside the box, with Referee Marco Serra not giving the advantage.
It was a bitter pill to swallow for the Rossoneri having missed an opportunity to go a top of the table in Serie A, which will for sure have Milan even more motivated for this return clash against Juventus, which saw them draw 1-1 in the teams first meeting earlier this season in Torino.
A tough challenge for Juve as Milan have the second best attack in Serie A, having scored 47 goals to the Bianconeri’s 34, but with Juventus showing signs recently that they have gotten out of their earlier season slump, Max Allegri’s team can come in feeling confident this time around, as so far in 2022 no team in Italy has scored more than Juve, and just one other team in Europe, Real Madrid, has scored more.
AC Milan projected starting XI:
Maignan; Florenzi, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Tonali, Bakayoko; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic
Juventus projected starting XI:
Szczesny; Cuadrado, De Ligt, Chiellini, De Sciglio; Locatelli, Rabiot; McKennie, Dybala, Bernardeschi; Morata
