Milinkovic-Savic keen to insert a €40m release clause to renew with Lazio amid Juventus interest
Sergej Milinković-Savić is one of the players who are said to be wanted by Juventus very much, but Lazio does not want to release him but is trying to extend his contract instead.
The midfielder is under contract until 2024, meaning that if he does not renew his contract by January 2024, he will be allowed to negotiate with various clubs for a possible free transfer in June 2024.
Lazio continues to try to extend his contract, where it is said that they want to give him €5 million salary per year, but it is expected that this offer will not be accepted by this player.
If Lazio fails to reach agreements over a possible renewal, it would be an opportunity for clubs to try to sign him in the summer, although the club are still asking €100m to let him go.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Milinković-Savić’s agent is asking Lazio to put a release clause of €40m in his client’s contract in order to extend his contract, however, Lazio is against it because it would give more opportunities to the teams that want him.
Infact Milinković-Savić will not leave Lazio this January, if any club which want him, they will try to sign him in the summer, including Juventus. There are currently no talks between Lazio and any other clubs for Milinković-Savić as of today.
