Alvaro Morata will return to Atletico Madrid as thing stands after Juventus and Atletico Madrid fails to reach agreements, sources confirmed to Max Statman.

The Spaniard has ended his loan spell in Juventus after joining back in 2020 on a two years loan deal with an option to buy around €35m which Juventus didn’t intend to pay to keep him, and he’s now going to return to Atletico Madrid after both clubs fails to reach agreements.

As firstly reported by Romeo Agresti,  Atletico Madrid and Juventus have stopped the talks for Álvaro Morata. Juventus tried to include players like Kean and Rabiot in the deal but Atletico rejected the bianconeri’s offer as the club is not interested in accepting players in the deal.

Morata is a player much appreciated by Massimilano Allegri, who has been trying to keep the player for 2022/23. However the amount of 35 millions requested by Atletico Madrid is considered extremely high by the Bianconeri maganament.

Futhermore to the complicated deal with Juventus, another factor that contributes for the decision of keeping Morata at Atletico is the departure of Luis Suarez, who leaves the club after two seasons.

In this way, it’s expected, at least for now, that after the holidays Álvaro Morata will return to training at Atletico Madrid while awaiting a final decision on wich club he will play for next season.
