Newcastle set to rival United and Juventus for Lyon’s Malo Gusto

Newcastle United would be willing to beat Manchester United and Juventus for the signing of Lyon full-back Malo Gusto in January.

Lyon will ask for 35 million pounds to part ways with the French full-back.

The 19-year-old has been with Lyon since 2016 and made it all the way before landing in the first team in 2021. He has since made 53 Ligue 1 appearances, providing six assists.

Gusto is also capable of acting as a more advanced midfielder. Having also played at centre-back when needed, the 19-year-old is versatile enough to fill multiple positions.

This makes it very useful given the flexible nature of today’s game. Lyon are not averse to selling him, but are asking £35m for a possible January exit.
