Opinion: Should Juventus cash in and sell de Ligt this summer?

Many reports in Italy suggest that Juve may look to sell de Ligt if an offer arrives, while some suggest that we are working on a contract extension. Now leaving aside the usual fiasco of the Italian media, I would like to talk about which path Juventus should take.
Chiellini and Bonucci are not getting any younger, and right now de Ligt is easily among the top 3 centre backs in the world. Replacing him with Bremer or Milenkovic, who even at an older age, have yet to make the big step in becoming world class, and this to me is very concerning. A world class defence has always been at the core of Juventus and apart from de Ligt and 34 year old Leo Bonucci, we don’t have any world class centre backs we can rely on since Chiellini has been experiencing a lot of injuries of late. Rugani is a good option but Juve already have enough to sort out with fullbacks in the defence section.
The other point that many people seem to be raising is that selling de Ligt can give us the necessary cash to upgrade our squad but do we really need that money right now since many reliable reports have also confirmed that Juve will make a big signing in the midfield unrelated to the sale of de Ligt?
So in my opinion Juventus should convince de Ligt about the project because with just a few more signings, Juventus will be very near to having a world class squad that can definitely win the UCL and de Ligt is a very big piece required to complete the puzzle.
