Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba, who was kidnapped and subjected to an extortion attempt in March 2022, has attributed his recent injuries to the traumatic incident.
In a hearing held on March 28th, following the arrest of one of the accused extortionists, Adama Camara, Pogba reportedly told the judges that “this story has had a great impact on my body and my health, influencing my recovery from injuries that have been affecting me in the last year”.
Pogba’s statement was reported by the French media outlet L’Équipe which also highlighted the player’s evident distress during the court proceedings.
According to the report, the former Manchester United player is still seeking answers to the incredible event, given the involvement of his brother Mathias and other close people.
