Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly seriously considering the possibility of strengthening their attack with the addition of Federico Chiesa.
With Neymar’s imminent departure, PSG sees an opportunity that they don’t want to miss. Juventus, on the other hand, expects a substantial sum for the Italian forward, valued between €50-60 million.
The negotiations between the two clubs could take a positive turn if PSG presents an offer close to these figures in the coming days.
As of now, Juventus has not renewed Chiesa’s contract and would only consider such a situation in the face of an indecent proposal.
According to a report by TuttoJuve, PSG is thought to be keen on adding 25-year-old Chiesa to their squad as they seek to strengthen their attacking options.
With Neymar’s departure on the horizon, PSG is looking to fill the void with a player of Chiesa’s caliber. The Italian international has been in impressive form for both club and country, catching the eye of many top clubs across Europe.
However, securing Chiesa’s signature won’t come cheap for PSG. Juventus is reportedly holding out for a substantial transfer fee, valuing him around €50-60 million.
The Bianconeri are aware of Chiesa’s potential and his importance to the team, hence their reluctance to let him go without a notable financial incentive.
The negotiations between PSG and Juventus have yet to reach a breakthrough, but it is believed that an offer close to Juventus’ valuation could pave the way for an agreement. PSG, known for their financial firepower, has the means to meet Juventus’ demands and conclude a deal for Chiesa.
For Juventus, the situation surrounding Chiesa’s contract renewal is also a factor. The club wants to secure his services for the long term, but the lack of progress on the contract front could make them more open to offers.
A bid that meets or exceeds their valuation of the player could convince Juventus to cash in on Chiesa, rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in the future.
Federico Chiesa has been a standout performer for Juventus since joining the club from Fiorentina in 2020 despite an injury he suffered which ruled him out of the most part of last season. The Bianconeri have also been said to be keen to keep him this summer after impressive performance in the pre-season.
