Adrien Rabiot, the French midfielder and vice-captain of Juventus, recently spoke to the club’s official channels about reaching a milestone 200 appearances for the Bianconeri.
On adapting to a new team and country:
“It was difficult at the beginning,” Rabiot admitted. “Adapting to a new team in a new country was challenging.
“But all the teammates and the staff helped me and welcomed me very well. The results came, and it was beautiful to win right away in the first year. You never forget the first time.”
On winning the Scudetto:
“For me, winning a Scudetto with Juve is one of the best things,” Rabiot said. “We couldn’t celebrate with the fans, but I hope to win more here.”

On his growth as a player:
“I remember when I came on against Genoa and I got two yellows and then a red, but we still won,” Rabiot recalled.
“That experience helped me grow. There were also negative moments, when we were stuck at home because of the pandemic. It was also the year of my first goal, against Milan at San Siro, but without the fans, it was strange. I couldn’t celebrate how I wanted to.”
On his relationship with the fans:
“The relationship with the fans has grown over the years,” Rabiot explained. “I’ve had many gifts from the fans, it means they’re loved and supported by them. It’s important for us.”
On his relationship with manager Massimiliano Allegri:
“Allegri wanted me even before I arrived, when I was still at PSG,” Rabiot revealed.
“Then I arrived with Sarri. I had already seen him the year before, we talked and he wanted me on the team, that’s where the relationship with him began. Max is a great professional, there are few coaches like him. I have a good relationship with him.”
On wearing the captain’s armband:
“The captain’s armband is important to me,” Rabiot emphasized. “An emotion to wear it for a huge club. I wore it against Milan at San Siro this year, I was emotional. One of my best memories with Juventus.”
On reaching 200 appearances:
“I arrived at 24, now I’m almost 29, it makes you grow,” Rabiot reflected.
“After a few years, the coach chose to make me vice-captain, it’s an important message and it means that everyone trusts and appreciates me.
“So, I try to give my best, I’m proud. 200 appearances are a lot, it’s a great milestone. I’ve always tried to give my best and I’ll continue to do so.”
