Manchester City are reportedly considering a move for Juventus midfielder, Adrien Rabiot, who could become available on a free transfer in the summer.
The French international, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season, has been a regular in Juventus’ starting lineup, but the club’s recent struggles in Serie A could prompt him to seek a new challenge elsewhere.
Rabiot has been on Manchester City’s radar for some time, having spent seven years in the club’s youth academy before leaving for Paris Saint-Germain in 2012.
The 27-year-old’s versatility, technical ability and experience in top-level European football would make him a valuable addition to Pep Guardiola’s squad, particularly with the club’s midfield options currently stretched thin.

However, City could face competition from other top European clubs for Rabiot’s signature, as the Frenchman has reportedly attracted interest from Barcelona and Liverpool.
The player’s wage demands and transfer fee could also prove to be a sticking point, with Juventus wanted to negotiate a new contract to keep him in Turin, however, it’s unlikely that he will renew considering the club’s current situation.
Speaking about his future, Adrien Rabiot said: “Right now I feel good but I don’t know what will happen in the future. The important thing now is to give 100%, and that’s what I’m doing. I want to help the team. Then we’ll see what happens and we’ll talk to the club.”
Juventus had held discussions with his mother and his agent Veronique but they were not ready to give the 10 million per year that was requested to extend his contract.
