Former Juventus and current Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte is open to returning to Turin if Massimiliano Allegri is sacked. The Bianconeri are exploring the possibility of a sensational return and are encouraged that the Italian coach has not extended his current contract with the north London team.
Allegri’s job is no longer safe after a string of disappointing performances and results. The Juventus board of directors is meeting on Friday to discuss the current situation going on with the team and could make some decisions with the coaching staff.
Conte coached the Bianconeri from 2011-2014 but left the club on bad terms with president Andrea Agnelli after feeling he was not backed in the transfer market. The strongest supporter of the former coach is Pavel Nedved who tried to bring Conte back in 2019. The Italian has previously stated that he has “unfinished business” in Turin which could lead to his return soon.
It’s important to note that this was originally reported by Fabiana Della Valle, an extremely reliable journalist who broke such news as the Vlahovic to Juventus deal.
